I can't even fathom how you felt/feel. I just went in and woke up my little monkey from her nap to just hold her.
Wishing him a speedy recovery. I'm glad they caught the clown that hit him. -

how many of you have armed themselves?
by buffalosrfree ini recently bought a high powered rifle and am presently buying a pistol for back-up.
i have a cross bow, a compound bow, and several swords and knives, in fact i have been collecting knives for some time and have learned how to use them in defending myself and in taking the initiative in learning to defend myself.
i am quite versed in using both the croww bow and the compound bow, it seems the goverment doesn't want to defend us and just wants to unarm us.

I really like guns... a lot. But that whole "saw by the bed" ain't a bad one either. I just may have to move my hard-spine, Mitre-Saw blade from the tool box to the bed side, or beside the seat of my truck for those pesky truck-jackers.
Don't read if you're anti-protection, which means a robber will be shot to death:
By the way, for those of you who give a rat's patoot, I ran some tests while bird hunting in Argentina last year. At 18 paces, the distance from my bedroom to the front door, the #9, high-powder, bird shot works better than #4 Nitro Mag. They make the same 2" circumference hole but the bird shot, with it's 585 pellets vs. 135 (#4), really does some damage to the surrounding area or gut/chest if you will. -

Does anyone know how or where I can go to interpret a dream?
by FreedomFrog inlast night i had a very disturbing nightmare.
i don't get nightmares often, but this one was pretty intense and detailed.
most of my dreams are either ok, confusing, or just a tad disturbing.

I don't know anything about the interpretation of dreams but I can say that if I eat MSG (MonoSodiumGlutamate) my dream that night, though not scary or bad, are extremely vivid and lengthy. It seems like they go on and on and I remember every bit of it. One time one was extrememly fun and I had a great time. When I remember it now it's hard to distinguish if it really happened or not.
Your thought of cheese may have some validity. -

"it's been said....."
by bonnzo inan elder in my hall prefixes his sentences with this phrase: "its been said...", usually followed by some ridiculous bullshit; an example: "it's been said that mans greatest accomplishment has been the worldwide preaching work".
i guess all scientific and medical advances are secondary.
anyway, his last one was this: "it's been said that by reading the awake magazine one can get the eqivalent to a college education.

Jankyn,
You listed the one that I love, "Scientists are starting to..." Getting a degree in Biology allowed me to pour over mounds of data and "research." There are "scientists" in the world that will say just about anything if they believe it will get them a grant.
Bonnzo,
You should ask, the next time he says it, "Said by whom?" And then just wait for a response. I know you probably can't do that... but it sure would be fun, that is until Jehovah rained down fire upon your soul. -

You are about to embark on one of the the greatest adventures of your life.
I love my wife today more than I did yesterday; I'm positive that I will love her more tomorrow than I do today.

Elders or Marriage Counselors?!?!?!?!
by thepackage inits interesting how the wts tries to give marital advice via unqualified elders.
recently a friend of mine and his spouse have been having martial trouble.
he no longer believes the wts lies and maintains a low profile.

Those clowns told my mom to stay with my, though yet-to-be violent stage, bi-polar Y-Donor. My mom finally got wise, went to an trained, non-JW counselor who advised my mom to immediately put him on skates and send him to the rink. She did the next day. The very next day he flipped out completely and had to be committed with straight jacket and the whole bit. The "Elders" held their ground that she should have stayed with him and to give him support.
I hope your friends find the help they need; unfortunately it looks like they have a tough row to hoe. -

Sir,
It seems that I see most of the kooks in fatigues who talk about covert opps and black helicopters are at the gun shows. -

Chuckie,
I'm looking forward to what you'll find. There is a plethora of info. out there. As you know, data can be twisted to show anything you want but I'm sure you'll find credible info somewhere. If I was a criminal and I knew that the dude I was going to rob/assault had a gun I might actually reconsider my plan to rob/assault him.
Watch out down there and don't get sticked! Ha -

I'm armed to the teeth. I love to hunt year-round and I guide hunts down in South Texas. I continue to take safety courses as I have the utmost respect for the power of a gun. I teach kids in a Youth Hunter Program.
Aussies and Brits, you may want to do a little more research on your violent crime rate since you decided to disarm your law-abiding citizens. You've proven that if guns are outlawed then only outlaws will have guns.
My favorite question to a gun-hating lib: if someone was beating you to death with a stick/rock/knife/steel pipe and I had a gun would you want me to shoot them to get them to stop, or would you just let them kill you?
Oh, yeah, one more... if there were no guns, as there before they were invented, would criminals use nothing? No, they'd use sticks or whatever to get the upper hand. Would you ban sticks too?
I've met Uncle Ted. I like him.
